How do I cancel my account?

To cancel your account, we need to verify some billing information.

If you pay by credit card, we will need:

1. Last 4 digits of your credit card
2. Expiry date

Cancellation requests must be received by Hosting.ca a minimum of five (5) days prior to the end of your Billing Cycle. In order to cancel your web hosting service, you must create a support ticket in your client panel. If you send an email to us, we cannot guarantee a successful delivery from your email provider. So we recommend logging into the system to create the ticket so it’s properly received in our system. The cancellation request MUST include the credit card holder’s last 4 digits of their credit card and expiry date. This is for authenticity purposes. Cancellation requests by phone or to other departments will not be processed because we need this in our client panel for reference. Hosting.ca is unable to cancel your account effective for a future date.

To avoid interruptions in service, accounts are billed on a recurring, subscription basis. Accounts will automatically renew unless explicitly canceled prior to the renewal date (this includes domain renewals that Hosting.ca resells through OpenSRS/Tucows). Domains will be renewed 1 month prior to the expiry date. There are no refunds for 3rd party services such as SSL certificates, domain names, or any other service requiring commercial licenses.

Hosting.ca will confirm the cancellation request when it is processed. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact Hosting.ca as soon as possible.

Hosting.ca does not monitor, and will not automatically cancel, plans for problems related to domain name transfers, non-usage, domain registrations, your ISP, or any other secondary issues not directly related to Hosting.ca services. Cancellation of services does not relieve the customer from paying any outstanding balance owed on the account. Hosting.ca reserves the right to cancel any account, at any time, without notice, for any reason Hosting.ca considers appropriate.
